I notice that the Web site for Geoff Hill's search for ivory-bills in
the Florida panhandle was taken down in the past 24 hours; it was at
http://www.auburn.edu/academic/science_math/cosam/departments/biology/faculty/webpages/hill/ivorybill/Updates.html
It had last been updated 14 months ago. Does anyone know if there is a
new Web site, or if the search for these birds there has been abandoned?
This endeavor, led by a respected ornithologist who claimed several
sightings but had procured no physical evidence, seemed to be our last
best hope for evidence this bird still exists....
