The kids, dog and I walked the loop trail at Buckeye Woods county park today and saw the following.
Northern Shoveler - 5
Northern Pintail - 4
Green-Winged Teal - 20
Gadwall - 4
American Coot - 2
Mallard - Many.
There were no shorebirds, herons or geese while we were there, although there was quite a bit of ducks flying in.
The Pintail and Shovelers have been here for most of the fall, and are just finishing up their molts into alternate plumage. These species are not that common here in Medina Co to my knowledge.
