This morning in a steady downpour, we took a ride around the Guilford Lake Area in Columbiana County. Waterfowl numbers were less than we expected. At the State Park Beach, decoys and their owners outnumbered the waterfowl. Happy Thanksgiving! The following is a list of the highlights: Canada Goose~unbelievably zero; Mute Swan~12 (11 adults, 1 juvenile); Tundra Swan~9 (6 adults, 3 juveniles); Ring-necked Duck~6 males; Lesser Scaup~2 pair; Bufflehead~1 pair; Hooded Merganser~14; Ruddy Duck~20+, Pied-billed Grebe~1; and American Pipit~150+.
