Shane Egleston and I started birding late this morning but ended up with
a good day with good birds. We visited Bluffton, Paulding County and
Grand lake St. Mary's.

We found the Black-bellied Whistling Duck at Bluffton. We then headed to
Paulding County to get the Brant. We found it feeding in the wheat
field. By the warehouse just up the road (I believe it was TR 107) we
found two Snow Geese and 16 Cackling Geese along with the Canada's and
Mallards. There were also Snow Buntings present.

At Grand Lake St Mary's we found at least two Ross's Geese, pintails,
and Green-winged Teals.

If we had started earlier we may have found GWFG and had all of Ohio's
geese. Oh well, we have a goal for another day, as if needed a reason to
go birding :)

The BBWD and the Brant were Life Birds for Shane. The BBWD was a state
lifer for me.
