Late this morning I encountered a goose-sized bird on the ledge surrounding the
lagoon in front of the Cleveland Museum of art.  In addition to this guy there
were perhaps thirty or forty Canadas...but off on the other side of the
water...This bird was so still that at first I thought it might not be alive but
as I approached it, it lifted it's head from the tucked in position for only a
second or two and then buried most of it again. I still suspect that it may have
been in some sort of distress as I could see it breathing with deep breaths,
causing it's body to rise up some every several seconds.  I suspect it may be a
hybrid as I couldn't find anything like it in my books, maybe some sort of
domestic.  I posted a few photos in the hopes that someone could enlighten me.
Thanks in advance.
