A short-eared Owl made its appearance at 5:15 pm this Sunday evening at the Coliseum grasslands, in Richfield (Summit Co) at the intersection of Rts 303 and 271. It spent a few minutes flying in the back western half of the grassland which had been mowed this year. It must have been successful getting dinner as it seemed to disappear within a few minutes.

It is easy enough to park pointed in toward the field just near the "right lane ends" sign on 303 and view the field from your warmer auto.
