I also found the whistling duck today - it was sleeping close under the bank, so was easiest to spot by going all the way to the end of the pond to the boat ramp and scanning back along the edge from there.
 
Also, on Friday I found a dead woodcock at Camp Perry, near Port Clinton.  It had likely died between 3-4 November, perhaps a victim of last weeks cold nights?  It struck me as being a bit late for woodcock along the lake.
