I went to Sims Park in Euclid Friday 11/12. I was there from about 1:45 to 3:15pm. There were 10 Black Scoters closer in. With the help of a local expert birder who was also at the other end of the park and who came down to the pier he found two or three additional Black Scoters flying in and landing very far out as the lake was real calm bringing the Black Scoter total to 12 or 13. The Surf Scoter females were also up close. Also, there were multiple hundreds and more of Red-breasted Mergansers out further in a long strip west to east busy feeding. More were further out. Over 5 Common Loons were seen.
