Sims Park, Euclid
Wednesday afternoon, in light snow and heavy wind...

Sims Park, Euclid - No ice except inside the breakwall.  A few ring-billed gulls
milling about, five red-breasted mergansers, six common goldeneye, and on the
beach about 10 Canada geese.

E. 72nd St., Cleveland - The power plant must be ramping down.  Though the main
stack had a steam plume, the hot water outlet was clogged with loose ice, which
extended about half way to the breakwalls.  Lots of ring-billed and herring
gulls riding the ice (which was heaving in the swells) and in the air; a few
great black-backed gulls.  Four gadwall in the water.  Glaze ice everywhere -
wished I'd had grippers.

E. 55th St., Cleveland - On the (in motion) ice to the east of the marina
parking lot, a couple thousand ring-billed gulls, may 200 herring gulls, one
glaucous gull, and one lesser black-backed gull which was almost a slaty-backed
until it stood up.  More glaze ice.

Rocky River Park - Compact, though not fast, ice from the shore out a couple of
hundred yards.  A few flyby gulls.
