Joining the first American tree sparrows of this season were the following:

Canada goose (fly-over from T J Evans park to cornfields)
mourning doves (have been scarce - too much food elsewhere)
red-bellied woodpecker
downy woodpecker
Carolina wren - loves the peanut butter & suet log!
Carolina chickadee - five or six are regulars
tufted titmouse
white-breasted nuthatch
blue jay
American crow
European starling
house sparrows
house finch
American goldfinch
the aforementioned American tree sparrows - at least 4
song sparrow
dark-eyed junco
northern cardinal

18 species in all.

Not seen yet today, but regulars in my yard:

Cooper's hawk (last seen Friday afternoon)
ring-billed gulls (fly-overs from T J Evans park to the area parking lots; seen almost daily)
American robins (the berries are still plentiful on my hollies, as berries are everywhere this fall!)

This must be a good vole year, as well. My dog presented me with a little "present" that she dug up in the yard - yes, a vole.
