My Nephew(Tyson) and I drove down to Lake White this afternoon. On the way we stopped by Omega, and watched an Adult Bald Eagle(this is near a nest there).
Lake White is mostly iced over like most of the ponds and lakes around Ohio now. But, there is an open area near the Lake White Club, maybe a few football fields in size.
Here is the list-
C. Goose- 50+ sad to see, one had an arrow sticking thru it's right side.
Mallards- 150+
Black Duck- 15 or so
Ring-neck Duck-1
Hooded Merg.-4
A. Coot-1
There are several of those mixed up Mallards(tame stock) with them.
One white goose that could have been a snow.. but I think was tame stock also.
The large pond(75 acres or so) just South of Chillicothe (off Rt. 23) has lot's of Geese and ducks also, this is a bad spot to stop at..but with a slow pass we could see a single Tundra Swan.
