Snow Goose: Two white-phase birds were reported at the national quarry in
Bluffton on 25 Dec.
 
Rossıs Goose: Three individuals were present at the pond in Castalia on 26
Dec (John Pogacnik).
 
Cackling Goose: Four birds were reported at the national quarry in Bluffton
on 25 Dec. John Pogacnik reports two birds at the pond in Castalia on 26
Dec. 
 
Long-tailed Duck: One female was present at Hoover Reservoir on 24 Dec (Alex
Hughes).
 
Black-legged Kittiwake: Jerry Talkington found one first-year bird sitting
on the jetty wall at Eastlake Powerplant on 21 Dec.
 
Thayerıs Gull: An adult was seen at East 72nd Street on 21 Dec (Philip
Chaon).
 
MEW GULL: This bird was seen at East 72nd St. on 23-24 Dec among thousands
of Ring-billeds. Phil Chaon offered the following description: ³The gull was
noticeably smaller and darker mantled than the surrounding Ring-billed Gulls
with very heavy streaking on the head and neck, a dark eye and a small,
yellow, un-ringed bill. When the bird stretched it's wings their was
significantly less black on the primaries and large white spots on the
primaries.²
 
Eastern Phoebe: One bird was seen at Armleder Park on 20 Dec (Brian Wulker).
 
Northern Shrike: Philip Chaon relocated a bird at Squire Valleevue Farm in
Cuyahoga County on 21 Dec. Another was reported by Dan Sanders et al. on 23
Dec at Bath Nature Preserve. Ryan Steiner reports a bird at Killdeer Plains
along Wyandot-Marion Rd on 26 Dec.
 
Pine Warbler: An immature bird was found on 21 Dec at Squire Valleevue Farm
in Cuyahoga County at Picnic Area 6 (Phil Chaon).
 
HARRISıS SPARROW: This bird has been seen well through 26 Dec, visiting a
feeder at 9041 Bear Hollow Rd in Applecreek.
 
Common Redpoll: It seems weıre getting a small irruption of this species.
Stan Plante had one in Geauga County on 23 Dec. John Pogacnik had 60+ at his
feeders in Perry on 25 Dec. Doug Vogus reported one at his feeders in Akron
on 26 Dec.
