I was able to get to Sims Park in Euclid this afternoon from around 4:20 to 5:00pm. The lake was so smooth and calm and the setting sun was shining on the birds. Here is what I could find:
Canada Geese
Group 80 Ducks ~ 45 Redheads ~35 Scaup (probably Lesser)
Group 20 Redheads
Black Scoters 10 females
Bufflehead 4
Common Goldeneye ~ 55-60 (most I have seen this season)
Red-breasted Mergansers - several dozen
Ruddy Ducks - saw five different groups ~ 75, 45, 7, 23, 30 = 180 Ruddies
