At about 4PM today, I visited both Guilford Lake and nearby Salem Reservoir. One small open pool of water remained at each location. The only birds remaining were: Canada Goose~60+,  Mute Swan~8,  Gadwall~6,  Mallard~40+,  Hooded Merganser~1 pair,  Common Merganser~ 3 females,  Ruddy Duck~2,  American Coot~3, and Killdeer~2. Christmas Bird Counts in this area may be lacking waterfowl this year!
