This afternoon, we observed a Ross's Goose at the Mercer Wildlife Area hanging with several hundred Canadas.
Thousand ~ Mallards out on an open area seen from West Bank Park.
And the funniest thing!!!! A lone Sandhill Crane standing on the ice with Mallards and Canadas seen from Windy Point! The water here is 5-6' deep!
There were FOUR Immature Bald Eagles - one, my husband tried to Id as a Golden Eagle but it disappeared quickly
not to be seen again!!
At the area, there is also a "farm goose"!
I got some decent photos of them which I will post on Facebook soon.
Along West Bank Drive, the bubblers are working in front of the condos at the boat basin.

There was nothing at the fish hatchery in Auglaize County - all ponds are frozen.

Enjoy the higher temp!!
Oh, at my feeders - I have had Blue Jays, a Chickadee !!! (The first for 3-4 years!!) and a White breasted Nuthatch along with the usuals - Goldfinches and House Finches. I am SOOO happy that the Chickadee found my feeder again!! And we have a Downy Woodpecker checking out the Maple tree stump limb.

Oh, what a Wonderful World!!!

Merry Christmas,

Jill
Auglaize County
