Hello Ohio Birders,
At 11:30 this morning I saw at least 3 lapland longspurs amid over 200 horned larks on the Ross-Pickaway County Line Road just west of Poling Rd. (De Lorme p. 78 -- This is in the middle of "my" team's area for the Kingston CBC held a week ago when we (my team, anyway) had not only no longspurs but no horned larks!)
Shortly after noon I saw an adult bald eagle at the edge of the pond on the west side of Island Rd. north of the Pickaway Co. Sheriff's Dept., NW of Circleville (DeLorme p. 68).
Driving conditions on secondary roads in Hocking and Ross Counties were challenging this morning.
Happy birding.
