Hi,

We do have a license for Comsol. Our license allows up to five concurrent users of the main Comsol application. We also have three licenses for some of the Comsol modules - specifically the AC/DC, heat transfer, MEMS, RF, and Structural Mechanics modules.

Comsol is installed on the Redhawk cluster. Since it has a graphics intensive interface for developing models, it can also be installed on local PCs for the initial model development. The models can then be moved to the cluster for more processor intensive work.

Jens Mueller from our group has some experience working with Comsol.

Do you know if Miami has a university-wide license for COMSOL?

Thanks.
