Greetings!
Short ears are still being seen at Big Island WA. I was there from 4:30
on and started seeing them at 5:30. The owls have turned more Dark
brown and white. There IS a little rufous left in them, but not much.
Pretty neat to see that type of change in them, must be blending
in...:-D 4 were over at the shed on 203.
The usual Hawks were there as well.
Horned Larks were present. As well as 3 Female pheasant. But the big
number species of the day were the tree sparrows. There was a mob of
them over in the switch grass on Keener Rd. Over 100 easily. All were
feeding on the seeds there. Every time a car went by, they flew up into
the air and it reminded me of a swarm of starlings. :-D
