I spent most of today assisting with a preschooler program at the nature
center at Deer Haven Preserve. My 3rd day of preschoolers (and 8 programs) of
the past week. I keep wondering if I once had that much energy. During the
time I had my lunch I watched the bird feeders through the library window.
Activity was constant and there were some nice birds. Many White-throated
Sparrows, 3 Fox Sparrows and a few Carolina Wrens. Then there was the Fox
Squirrel that spent 45 minutes trying to defeat the baffles and other
obstacles between it and the feeders. Today he lost.
