Fellow birders,

Just peeked out on my back door, and the Eastern Phoebe that has been
around most of this winter, was roosting on the Phoebe nest that might well
have been his birth place. It spends one or two nights there each week. I
just reported this bird in Sue's Snowy Day Bird Count. Thought it deserved
its own post. That way, I can ask again---What is this bird doing here, and
how is it surviving what has been a bitter winter?

Even as I type, a pair of Barred Owls are going crazy just outside my
window. I love this place.
