I am reporting for Bill Kinkead who just called me from Lake Erie. He
has a female Long-tailed Duck at Bayshore. Driving west from Maumee
Bay S.P. on Bayshore there are several roads leading north to the
lake. He saw the bird from the Lakeview Avenue access. The bird was
seen with a group of Goldeneyes. To the east of where he is there is
mainly ice so the ducks were swimming west and might now be in front
of the South Shore Veterans Park.

If you have a copy of "Ohio's Lake Erie Public Access Guidebook",
turn to page 33 and look at the lower map labeled East. He was at the
spot marked number one!

If you don't have a copy of this FREE book, try to get your hands on
one!! I got mine at the bird center at Maumee Bay S.P.

Good (Frigid) Birding!

Doreene Linzell
