The saw-whet owl has been one that has eluded me up until now. I've neither seen nor heard it in the 
wild. Unfortunately the bird I have is one that was killed in a car strike and ended up on top of the 
snow pile at the end of my driveway on Mayfield Rd. in Claridon Twp. What a beautiful little creature 
that fits in the palm of my hand. I've got it in the freezer and have contacted the Geauga Park District 
to see if they want the specimen.
