I visited Greenlawn Cemetery on Friday afternoon at 4:30 PM. After
ensuring that the Owls were not present I carefully approached the nesting
tree to see if anyone else had been there with a ladder. I got close
enough to check for footsteps and any disturbance in the snow around the
tree and there was none. No footsteps other than mine were closer than 30
feet so I don't think anyone was near the tree with a ladder. I was there
only briefly but did not see any pellets on the ground or any "staining"
on the tree as there has been in the past several years. I got out of
there quickly and back to my car. Hopefully the Owls will be back.
