Greetings. Yesterday, before heading to work, I swung through Big
Island WA and got some great pictures of a Female Northern Harrier. I
saw her start to set up to make a pass and stopped and got a few off
from first to last was about 26 seconds. Also some of a Red Tail. Got
to watch a Kestrel chow down on a mouse for a little bit then it was
time to head on. I Thought I saw the light morph there, but it dove
down into the high grass before I could turn around.

Also yesterday, I was driving down 33 in Union County towards
Belfountaine Between the two exits to Marysville Honda Plant. Right
before the second exit, I saw a Dark Morph Rough Legged Hawk hunting in
the field. For more exact location...not that it would still be there,
but for those interested...plop this into Google: 40.27573, -83.52873
I am finding it interesting at the amount of different hawks in that
area. Every day is something new.

I did get a serviceable picture, so I am going to knock it off of my
life list. This is also the first that I have seen in that area.
Usually there is Red Tailed, Kestrels, and Northern Harriers in that
area. So the addition of a Rough legged in that area is cool on another
level.

Pics of latest and slide show of Harrier here:

Have a great day, Happy Birding, and God Bless
