I have been going to Villa Angela/Wildwood State Parks on the east side of Cleveland recently.  Haven't seen anything too unusual but thought I would post some of my sightings.  Today I started around 3:15pm and stayed late.  Because it was late and snowing it was hard to find any birds as they were all hunkered down.  Heard a little "tap tap" and found a Red-breasted Nuthatch in a little pine tree by the bathhouse in Villa Angela.  Heard a Winter Wren in the Wildwood side down by the creek as I walked down from the woods.  Last Saturday when it was 55 degrees I heard then saw one fly across my path also on the Wildwood side.  You could follow it 50 ft following its call as it moved through the red knot bushes. They seem to like the red knot bushes to hide in and most I have seen and heard are along Euclid Creek and/also just downstream from the bridge.  Around 4:45pm today I was in the Wildwood main woods just east of the road coming up from the
creek. I kept hearing a "see see see" every 40 seconds or so (didn't know what it was)and eventually found a Golden-crowned Kinglet.  Everyone seems to get them other places in the winter.  I haven't birded there much in the winter before.  Last Sat & Sun (1/1 & 1/2) saw a Northern Mockingbird on the other side of Euclid Creek in Wildwood down from the Lakeshore Blvd. parking lot and near the entrance to the park in Villa Angela in the bushes near the yellow gates for the park.  Also heard the Belted Kingfisher on 1/1 in Wildwood.  Sunday (1/2) the water in the marina was half melted but since 1/5 it seems to be frozen as was most of the creek further up near the bridge and towards the lake.
