Hello OHbirders,

Hoover Reservoir was booming with waterfowl today. Chloe Hamrick and I
recorded 19 species in 2 hours this afternoon. List below with details:

Snow Goose     1- one young bird, molting into adult plumage- mostly white,
with some gray on the back and neck, south of Old 3C
(Eqyptian/Graylag domestic goose thing- north of the dam)
Cackling Goose     4- south of Old 3C
Canada Goose     1600- ~1200 south of Old 3C, others scattered
Mute Swan     1- north of Old 3C
Tundra Swan     1- south of Old 3C, apparently down from 22 last week
according to a land owner
Wood Duck     2- male and female south of Old 3C
Gadwall     3- 1 male and 2 females below the dam
American Wigeon     8- below the dam
American Black Duck     25- scattered
Mallard     70- scattered
Northern Shoveler     60- ~15 below the dam and 45 south of Old 3C
Northern Pintail     1- male south of Old 3C
Green-winged Teal     1- female below the dam
Bufflehead     1- female south of Old 3C
Common Goldeneye     8- south of Old 3C
Hooded Merganser     45- scattered
Common Merganser     1- female south of Old 3C
Red-breasted Merganser     1- female north of the dam
Ruddy Duck     2- male and female south of Old 3C


Others:
Red-shouldered Hawk     1- south of Old 3C
Herring Gull     2- south of Old 3C
