Greater White-fronted Goose: One was reported from Melvin Quarry in
Wilmington on 8 Jan (Brad Sparks). Six were along Prairie Lane Rd in Wayne
County on 8 Jan (Su Snyder). Five were seen south of Sunbury Rd Bridge on 8
Jan (Jason Larson).
 
Rossıs Goose: One was seen at the Melvin Quarry in Wilmington on 8 Jan (Brad
Sparks). Two were seen along Prairie Lane Rd in Wayne County on 8 Jan (Su
Snyder).
 
Snow Goose: One white-phase bird was seen at St. Maryıs Fish Hatchery on 3
Jan (Jill Bowers). A young bird was reported from Hoover Reservoir south of
the Sunbury Road bridge on 6 Jan (Sean Williams)- Then, on 8 Jan four were
reported at this location (Jason Larson). 10-12 were reported from Melvin
Quarry in Wellington on 8 Jan (Brad Sparks).
 
Cackling Goose: Four birds were reported at Conneaut Harbor on 5 Jan by
Craig Holt. Another four were seen at Hoover Reservoir south of the Sunbury
Road bridge on 6 Jan (Sean Williams). One was seen along Prairie Lane Rd in
Wayne County on 8 Jan, (Su Snyder).
 
Long-tailed Duck: 2 birds were viewed from Harveysburg Rd. at Caesar Creek
on 6 Jan (Jason Cade).
 
Black Scoter: 6 were seen from the northern boat ramp at Caesar Creek on 6
Jan (Jason Cade). 
 
Lesser Black-backed Gull: One was seen from Harverysburg Rd. at Caesar Creek
on 6 Jan (Jason Cade).
 
Thayerıs Gull: One was seen at E. 72nd St in Cleveland on 9 Jan (John
Pogacnik).
 
Eastern Phoebe: One was seen in western Holmes County on 8 Jan (Michele
Skolmutch). One has been roosting at John Faulknerıs house through 9 Jan.
 
Northern Shrike: Inga Schmidt has had one bird patrolling her yard in Geauga
Co. One was reported from Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area on 5 Jan ³at the
normal spot, parking areas Y&Z near the road² (Steve Jones).
 
HARRISıS SPARROW: This bird has been seen well through 9 Jan, visiting a
feeder at 9041 Bear Hollow Rd in Applecreek.
 
Yellow-headed Blackbird: One was seen amongst a flock of Red-winged
Blackbirds on ³Moreland Rd. between Honeytown and Fredericksburg Rds.
(Wayne Co.)² (Craig Caldwell).
