I have had siskins at my feeders since Christmas. Sunday there were 4 at a
time fighting over the finch feeder. They drive the poor goldfinches away!
Also have 2 regular red-breasted nuthatches, a couple tree sparrows,
numerous juncos, titmice, chickadees and the occasional white-throated
sparrow.
A flock of 300+ starlings settled in Allynd Blvd to eat salt and grit once
the plows finally cleared it yesterday.
A Cooper's Hawk visits my yard regularly to feed on my feeder birds, and
Sunday it drove a male cardinal into our picture window, then picked up
the stunned bird and sailed off. When you feed the birds, you feed all the
birds....

I don't know if anyone posted results from the Burton CBC but I counted a
Tundra Swan on Berkshire Hills golf course driving range in my part. This
was Jan 1st. Sorry for the late post but it slipped my mind.

Marilyn Rohr, Chardon (in the absurd amount of snow.)
