Had my first two common redpolls of the season visiting my thistle feeder
among the goldfinches with all the snow this afternoon on South Bass Island.
Got some pictures through the window.

Yesterday, on a trip to Middle Bass Island, there was some open water over
the reef off the far east end where I found 7 Tundra Swans with a few
waterfowl too far away to identify. Also saw an eastern bluebird on Middle
Bass which is unusual for here.
