On Thursday afternoon about 5pm I observed a Short-ear owl swooping and then 
perching on a street sign inside the Metro Park.  A wonderful sight to get my 
2011 list "beefed up", and my 3rd owl species of the year already. Barred, 
Great horned, also spotted in and around the Darby Creek area.  Good luck!
