Sorry for the last posting...yesterday, my husband and I visited Avon Lake
Powerplant area, seeing the following (hubby enjoyed kicking ice off the
pier):
Buffleheads (24)
American Coots
Mute Swan resting on ice - 1st year? the bump on its beak was smallish and
the beak's orange color was lighter - any thoughts on this ID?
Canada Geese
Mallards
100s of gulls
Then to Miller Rd Park, Avon Lake, where there were a good many dark &
white waterfowl (perhaps the goldeneye) past the ice edge; however, it was
beyond my scope's range.
During afternoon shopping errands, a foy great-blue heron did a fly-over
near home and a kettle (if that term applies to tv's) of 27 tv's appeared
over Crocker Park, Westlake.
Happy birding.
