Started at the Funk Bottoms platform, and was kindly redirected by an
anonymous birder to where the REAL duckage was....
WILDERNESS ROAD:
- Northern Pintail (20-30)
- Mallard
- Wood Duck
- American Black Duck
- American Wigeon (4-6)
- Redhead (2-3 pair)
- Green-winged Teal (took a while to find the one male I located)
The Bald Eagle nest was well-attended by two adults, adding sticks to the
construction; fantastic views from Wilderness Road near the intersection
with Elyria (straight out from the Hyponex Plant's access road out to the
dredging site)
STATE ROUTE 95, ALONG FUNK BOTTOMS:
- Tundra Swan (one group of 6, one pair)
- Northern Harrier (2)
- Rough-legged Hawk
Signs of spring are all over --- no TV's today, but plenty of Red-winged
Blackbirds, Robins, and Grackles;
Whiffed on the Ross' Goose :-(
