On Thursday, the Mountwood Bird Club visited "The Wilds", near Cumberland Ohio,
those attending were Eula Elliott, Jeanie & Gene Hilton, Carol & Fred McCullough,
Barb & Neal Hohman, Dick Esker, Pat Collins, Allan Elberfeld, Mike Wine, and
Jon Benedetti.  It was a rather slow day for numbers of birds seen and number of
species seen, but we had some excellent finds.

    Highlights:

    Trumpeter Swan - 12
    Golden Eagle -1 - adult
    Northern Harrier - 2
    Rough-legged Hawk - 6
    Short-eared Owl - 4
    Horned Lark - 6
    Northern Shrike - 1 - seen by Pat & Jeanie & Eula
    Snow Bunting - 4

    Also seen:

    Great Blue Heron
    Canada Goose
    American Black Duck
    Ring-necked Duck
    Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 - seen by the Hohmans
    Red-tailed Hawk - 22+
    American Kestrel - 8
    Rock Pigeon
    Red-bellied Woodpecker
    Downy Woodpecker
    Hairy Woodpecker - found by Eula
    Blue Jay
    American Crow
    Tufted Titmouse
    White-breasted Nuthatch
    Eastern Bluebird - 5
    American Robin
    Northern Mockingbird
    European Starling
    American Tree Sparrow - 35
    Song Sparrow - 1 - seen by Dick
    Dark-eyed Junco
    Northern Cardinal
    House Sparrow
