Late for the blitz, a lone rusty blackbird showed up in my yard this
morning.

He joined the other ground feeding birds (most everything today, since
every twig
and feeder perch is coated with a quarter inch of ice) to eat the seed
I just scattered.
Now, chased off by the turkey mob.
