Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of I
270 & Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is a list of some
of the birds seen the last few days at Blendon Woods.
Thoreau Lake
Gadwall-2 pair
Redhead-2 male, female
Hooded Merganser-4 male, female
American Black Duck-108
Mallard-pair
White-throated Sparrow
Mute Swan
Red-tailed Hawk
Wood Duck-10
American Widgeon-3
Ring-necked Duck-1 male
Lesser Scaup-1 male
Green-winged Teal-female
Great Blue Heron

E Bluebirds-6
Lake Trail
Pileated Woodpecker-There is a pair possible building a
nest site along the pipeline cut.
