As other have noted, during the feeder watch, my bird attendance dropped to almost nothing.

However, today I've had 19 species so far, including:

First of year northern mockingbird
First of year common grackle

a single American tree sparrow
several dark-eyed juncos
a song sparrow

My single little Carolina wren continues to pick out peanut parts and occasionally suet. In past years, I've always seen two together. This year, apparently, there is only one. Hopefully, he'll get some company soon. (I"m assuming "he" from the various noises he makes.)

Song sparrows and cardinals have been singing daily for a couple of weeks, including this morning.
