I had my two grandsons (ages 6 and 8) with me this evening around 5:30 at
Prairie Oaks Park off Rt. 142 in the westernmost part of Franklin County. In the
tree line north of the larger pond sat a beautiful fully grown bald eagle. The
kids could even see his white head without the binoculars. They were so excited.
This is a first for me at Prairie Oaks. Hopefully he will stay in the area for a
while.
