Greetings,

It's an interesting day at the feeder this morning. Our first red winged blackbird came in to find food. Lots of pine siskins continue to eat the thistle seed while all the usual suspects, gold finches, juncos, titmice, chickadees, house finches, purple finches and towhees continue to dine on black sunflower seeds. Not to be forgotten are the woodpeckers who dine on suet blends - Red Bellied, Downy and Hairy are my favorites.

Also found a lone Killdeer at the intersection of Becker Road and Vermilion Road yesterday evening. Hope he found cover or returned South before the winter storm hit.

Hope we all remember to keep our feeders filled and provide water for any migrants who may have ventured North a wee bit too early.

Happy Birding
Dorothy
