A Glaucous Gull was on the Great Miami River in Dayton at 8 a.m. this
morning (Saturday, February 5th).

The bird was just north of the Stewart Street bridge (north of Carillon
Park and the University of Dayton Arena). The bird's large size, dark
tipped bill, and lack of color in its primaries made identification as a
first or second winter bird relatively easy.

As I was watching it, the bird flew north towards downtown Dayton. I went
as far as the Washington Street bridge, but did not see the bird again.

Kevin
