On our way to killdeer plains for the day the OSU Ornithology Club just found a single adult Ross's Goose among several hundred Canada Geese standing on the ice of the reservoir. We first spotted the bird from the marina looking south but it can be best seen from the Buckeye Grove parking lot area. The birds were very close to the shore so be careful not to approach the water too fast on foot and spook them.

Other highlights: several bald eagles, american coot, hoodies, green-winged teal, and a flyover of redheads.

We are now off to Killdeer. Good luck!
