I dodged snowflakes this morning to visit several parks on the fringes of Dublin (NW of Columbus) looking for winter strays. I stopped at Glacier Ridge, Avery, Trabue, and Darree Fields parks; the snow didn't really start falling heavily until the last two. While the finch & sparrow #s were low from the snow, raptors seemed unaffected by the flurries. Highlights included

Cooper's - 1 lurking in Trabue
Red-tails - every stop, including 3-4 at Glacier Ridge
Harrier - 1 at Glacier Ridge
Kestrel - 1 along Hyland-Croy Rd
Barred Owl - 1 in the woodlot NW of the parking area at Glacier Ridge, near the old beech that they've favored in past years
Great Horned Owl - 1 lurking in the Avery Park woodlot

Waterfowl - plenty of geese flyovers. Corazon Lake (along Hyland-Croy Rd) had a bit of open water that harbored a small flock of divers including 15 Ring-necked Ducks, 2 Redhead, and 1 Lesser Scaup.
