Yesterday we had a new yard bird after living here many years. A solitary
Eastern bluebird was feeding on mixed seed thrown on the ground underneath a
feeder. The usual pair of Carolina wrens is still here, eating mealworms put out
for them and roosting in a sheltered porch spot. A female Pileated woodpecker
comes to the suet feeder.
