At 2 p.m. today (Thursday), I found the scoter that Rick described. It had
moved north from where Shane saw it and was midway between the Stewart
Street and Washington Street bridges.

A trio of Turkey Vultures was soaring above the river. They seemed to be
enjoying the windy day much more than I was.

Shane Egleston just called to report an immature or female White-winged
Scoter on the Great Miami River in Dayton. He is viewing the bird from the
bike path in front of Carillon Park. As we spoke the bird was moving north
towards the Stewart Street bridge.
