March 18 - afternoon
Still a nice selection of waterfowl at the lake. Here's our list:
Blue-winged teal
Green-winged teal
Lesser scaup
Ring-necked ducks
Redheads
Northern pintails
Wood duck
Mallards
Northern shovelers
Ring-billed gull
Great blue herons
Canada geese
"CARMEL" duck - possibly a cross among a pintail, a wigeon, and a fox
squirrel. Any inquiries? Please don't contact us.
P.S. Duck was named for both its color and Carmel, Indiana.
Eagle Info: The River Rd./Valleyview Rd. eagle nest looks encouraging.
The two eagles have alternately been sitting on the nest and appear to be
incubating.
Ed and Bev Neubauer, Kurt Stein, Kathy Groves and 2 birders whose names we
forgot to get
