Dear early modernists,
I am writing to remind you that there are two upcoming talks of interest.
Meredith McGill will present her work on the history of the book/poetry
collections on Monday, 4/4, at 4pm in Bachelor Reading room. Secondly, the
next day, 4/5, Gideon Manning will present his work on Descartes as a
medical philosopher, also in Bachelor reading room, at 430pm.
Finally, Charles Ganelin has opted to postpone his paper for our group until
the fall. With that, then, we are officially done for the semester and for
the year.
Now it is time to pass the torch. If you are interested in coordinating this
group--asking people to present their work and buying some tasty treats for
the meeting--please email me (sooner rather than later).
I've really enjoyed hearing and talking about people's work. The
intellectual community is essential, and I also have the sense that our
meetings continue to be productive for the authors. Thanks for a great year.
All best,
Cindy
