My travels today along I-90 from Rt. 44 to Rt. 83 in Avon featured
many turkey vultures from single to several birds. No doubt riding
the thermals produced by the influx of cold lake air rushing in to
displace the warm buoyant air over the sun-warmed land. The big show
came at 6:30 pm with a kettle of 70+ vultures just above treetop level
over I-90 in Rocky River.
