The Ross-type goose is still around the Pick Ponds area, but it's going to be harder to locate. I had it flying with some Canadas north over Shannon Rd west of the Ponds. Most of the Canada Geese are up in the fields and suburban ponds north and northwest of the park, and that is probably where the Ross was hanging out.

Other highlights of the afternoon included a very early, bedraggled Osprey sitting on one of the dead snags in Teal Pond, and an adult Eagle sitting on a snag in Groveport's Cruiser Pond.

On the down side, a quick run-through of wetlands from Cruiser Pond to Pick Ponds found surprisingly few migrant ducks. They appear to have moved north, leaving the wetlands to Geese, Mallards, a few Hooded Merganser pairs, and a handful of Black Ducks. Perhaps we'll see a bolus of Gulf migrant waterfowl later (like Shovelers & Blue-winged Teal), but a lot of waterfowl migration may be past us at this time.
