I went to Sims Park in Euclid 3/12 & 3/13.  Also went to Euclid Park today 3/13.  Went to Villa Angela and Wildwood on 3/12 and went to Villa Angela for just a small time 3/13.  I didn't see anything to rare yesterday, today I did see a LONG-TAILED DUCK at Villa Angela that looks like a female.  Here are some of my sightings:

Sims Park 3/12 11:20 - 12:10pm, 3/13 12:00 to 12:40pm

Common Goldeneye ~ 80 seen both days
Hooded Mergansers  3 on 3/12
Red-breasted Mergansers - small number 100 or so both days
Lesser Scaup 4 on 3/12, 7 on 3/13
Horned Grebes 2 on 3/12, 4 on 3/13
Carolina Wren 1 singing 3/12

Euclid Park 3/13 12:50 to 1:10pm
Horned Grebes 2 (more breeding plumage)

Villa Angela/Wildwood 3/12 12:30 to 3pm, 3/13 2:00 to 310pm

Ring-billed Gulls 350+ in marina eating fish, few Herring Gulls
Northern Mockingbird 3/12 2 (one in each park)

Great Blue Heron  1 - 3/12 was in the woods of Villa Angela, flew towards mobile home park and then flew east, hr later it flew in from the east as I was on the bridge leaving and landed in bushes & trees west of grassy knoll in Villa Angela

White-crowned Sparrow 1 (heard each day)

LONG-TAILED DUCK 1 (female)3/13 I was trying to see the White-crowned Sparrow that has been singing by the mobile home park when I saw two ducks near the shore.  One was a male Bufflehead and one was sleeping but didn't look like a Bufflehead female more like a Horned Grebe because of the head pattern.  Then I look a few moments later I see what turned out to be a Long-tailed Duck swimming.  It was between the rock piles and the beach and at times it would come very close to shore.  After awhile it started feeding.  I lost interest in the White-crowned Sparrow.

Hooded Mergansers 2 (pair) swimming in Euclid Creek in Wildwood on 3/12 & seen beyond rock piles of Villa Angela 3/13.
American Coot - 1 feeding in Euclid Creek in Wildwood both days
Belted Kingfisher 1 both days
Turkey Vulture 1 on 3/12

Winter Wren 1 seen in Villa Angela 3/13

Song Sparrows - many
Hairy Woodpecker 1

Also, yesterday late a guy in camouflage was using a duck call all along Euclid Creek in Wildwood.  Today when I arrived he was sitting on the shore looking at his 9 duck decoys and cell phone.  I asked the local fisherman expert and he said he was just practicing.  It was a little disconcerting and the Hooded Mergansers stayed out in the lake not to be bothered.
