Just stepped in from a breath of "fresh air" this early a.m. in valley city, medina co. To my excitement, the whistled calls of a n. Saw-whet owl carried distinctly from a woodlot just to the north. Putting the word out here early for those with the patience to search ,as these early spring warm fronts often bring small flights of long-eareds and saw-whets.

In addition, a great horned passed in front of my vehicle on i-71 near strongsville around 5:30 am. It alighted on a dead snag overlooking the valley northeast of rt. 82.

Best birding I've had during three 80+ hr work weeks!
