A lively, noisy, colony of great blue herons has reestablished itself
at the rookery
on Chagrin River Road in Bentleyville. I counted just under 40 birds
in the sycamores,
some already sitting on their nests. What a racket! when all of them
took to
the air at once. A cacophony of herons would be more descriptive than
a seige.
A pair of red tails swooped by, disturbing five wood ducks in the
river below.
